Gimme summer

While scrolling through all of my photos on my computer I realized how much I miss warm weather, tanned skin, fresh fruit, good people, BBQ's, traveling and being free. If my Easter break wasn't already full I would book a trip to someplace warm and exotic to escape the slightly depressive state of northern Europe.
In about four weeks I have two essays due, right before my three week Easter break starts. After the break I have about 5 weeks until exams start. Which gives me 8 weeks in total until all the exams end and I can figure out storage for the summer, flights back home etc.

Happy Hallowe'en

Yesterday consisted of a birthday party/halloween party at our flat. We played ring of fire and ate some cake before heading into town. We ended up at Underground, and the picture above is the only one I have from last night (I have gotten really bad at documenting my life!) Alice says that she thinks she looks like a complete pisshead in this photo because her eyes are closed haha!

True

The Swedish DJ Avicii released his debut album TRUE on the 13th of September 2013. Avicii said himself that this album would move away from his typical electronic dance and house music, and instead incorporate elements from other genres, such as bluegrass and country! This news is so exciting!
I heard his song Hey Brother on the radio today in the car and I was shocked when the presenter said that it was Avicii playing on the radio! The song is so different from his earlier singles such as Levels, Silhouettes or I Could be the One!
Have a listen and see for yourselves! It's truly an amazing debut album in my opinion!

These Boots Were Made for Walking

Since autumn is just around the corner, I have been thinking about what type of shoe I want for this year. I've linked a few photos of the shoes I am interested in. The style is pretty much the same but this is what I like for the autumn.
The zipper in the back just gives it some extra detail which I really like!

This is probably my favourite pair because of the style and colour
These aren't exactly ideal for me because running around with heels everyday on the cobbled streets of my campus, is quite tricky! But they are gorgeous nonetheless. Very similar to a pair I had two years ago

Friday

An old picture of Paola and I from Connor's flat party back in January

What the hell! It's already Friday. Time has flown by so fast and while I've been working these past 6 weeks I think my brain has been on auto pilot all the time and not noticed it's the end of July already! Gaah!
Other than that, I'm currently tuning into UK's Ministry of Sound radio channel because they're airing live from the Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium! Amazing :) I wish I could go. Maybe next year!!
Tonight I'm just going to enjoy the fact that the weekend is here! I was out enjoying the marvelous weather this afternoon when I got back from work, I thought I was going to melt there in my chair....

Summer days

Natalie, Ronja, Juno and I got together one Saturday to drink rosé and eat some snacks, before we headed out to a bar called Satin

BBQ with the family one night

Early morning (5.15am to be exact -.-) bike ride to work

I ate dinner with my friends Karin W, Karin C and Sangeet last night. This was my first plate of pizza and tacos

After that we headed over to a bar called Ivy for some drinks before we headed to the cinema to watch "Man of Steel"

Update

I haven't blogged in a while because I haven't been very inspired, which is a shame. However, I thought I'd make a quick update of what's been going on in my life. Since I got back home I have been busy enjoying the nice, summer weather we are having, meeting up with friends for drinks, celebrating my friend's graduations, spending time with my family, chilling at home and playing GTA IV haha. On Monday I start work, which I am excited and nervous about! I'll be working for five weeks and after that I am going on holiday with Helen.

Music Monday #42

Cutest bikinis ever!

For Your Love - Josh Record
The first time I heard this song was when I watched Sam Pepper's video on YouTube a few months back. I fell completely in love! I don't know why I haven't featured it on music Mondays yet... But anyway, have a listen!

Wonder - Josh Record
Okay, so now I'm obsessed with his songs

Runaways - The Killers

Sol. - Mausi

Freedom

Pheew! This year has been one of the most past-paced years of my life! I don't actually know how to process all of this, because time feels like it's literally slipping through my fingers as I write this!
However, I am completely content with my decision to move to a different country to study. I enjoy moving around to experience new things, and this was one of the main reasons for me to come here to the UK. I have met so many amazing people and experienced so many unforgettable things which I will cherish in my memory forever.
Next year will bring new possibilities and new memories and I am really looking forward to it!
Aberdeen, you've been good to me, I'll be back in September. But first, BRING ON THE SUMMER!!

Summer Waves

Gucci

Gucci

Blonde waves à la Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

When I'm back in Sweden, I am going to my hairdresser to cut off 10-12cm! I was supposed to do this during easter, but only around 7cm came off - not as much as I initially wanted. However, I also want to dye my hair to get it lighter and more summery.
The colour of the first look is beautiful as well as the second, but they are both a tad too tangerine/orange. The blonde hair colour of Rosie is gorgeous and perfect for summer, but maybe the change will be too drastic for me. I'm so used to seeing my hair a dark blonde... Maybe I should just let the sun highlight my hair naturally, like I normally do. We'll see what happens :)
