Elephant

A couple of minutes ago I found this very cute and cool photo on tumblr - I had to share it with you!

Officially, I finish school on thursday, but I don't have any lessons tomorrow or on Thursday so I have my winter break now! FINALLY
Tomorrow I'll be spending a few hours in a mall, shopping for Christmas present for my friends.

Have a great night! xx

Greetings fellow readers

The title says it all. Like I wrote in my last post, I've been pretty busy with school; trying to keep up with all the assignments and homework. Plus I'm working on my uni-application (I'M BEHIND SCHEDULE!) - so it's been pretty hectic :/
My mother and I ran into Hollister & co. on our way home from town today.
Pure bliss! I love it - even though it can get a little disorienting and stressful in the dark, yet cozy, shop. Thank God for them not spraying too much of the perfume in the store.

Thumbs up!
Toodles fellow readers, hope you have a great Friday night!

Checking In

Hey dudes!
Just checking in here to tell you that I'm still alive and living. However, school comes first so I've been focusing on my assignments these past few days, before winter break (which is in two weeks :D)
Here are some recently accumulated photos from weheartit.com and tumblr.com

Khom Loi

Khom Loi's are sent up into the air throughout Thailand and certain parts of Laos and Burma, during the annual festival called Loi Krathong.
My cousins, aunt and uncle along with my own family had a mini-Christmas party tonight, where we exchanged gifts and ate turkey. We do this every year, before or after Christmas.
This year they brought two Khom Loi's with them for us to send up into the air.

Pointe

Yesteday at my ballet lesson, my teacher told us that we were ready to go en pointe - I was overjoyed! I've been waiting for years to go en pointe. It's painful and hard work but I personally think of it as the most graceful and beautiful part of ballet. It takes years and years of practice to fully master it, but it's worth it.

Other than that, I'm going to be pretty busy with school before the winter break. I have several assignments to finish, as well as a psychology seminar tomorrow morning.
At 8.30 tomorrow, my class and I are going to have an early Christmas  party. We'll be munching on lussebullar, pepparkakor and sipping on Julmust. We've also arranged a Christmas gift exchange, so we all have to bring a little present.

Have a lovely evening/day xx

Snow

The first snow fell today, for like one minute, but it was most welcome - at least from me. I got so  excited!
This weekend I spent studying for my Swedish Oral Exam I had today, which went allright. On Sunday my family and I along with some family friends drove to a restaurant by the lake to have lunch - Julbord (google it) - it was marvelous, especially the deserts! like always
I really like the look of turtlenecks
Since I watched Breaking Dawn part 1 on Friday I've non-stop been listening to the soundtrack, and I cannot stop listening to it. The music really is divine - all the movies have great music.
SPOILER ALERT It reminds me of the wedding scene in the movie, it was so beautiful and perfect - I have to watch the movie again soon!

Hope you're having a great start of the week xx

Sleet

It hasn't snowed today, nor rained, but a mixture of both which is frightfully dreadful - I despise it. It's freezing outside, and the days turn darker earlier than usual. It's 15.43 and it's pitch black! Oh the joys of living in a northern country.

Flower top - Gina Tricot
Black jeans - Carlings

Top - Zara TRF
Enjoy your evening, or day depending on where you are in the world! xx

Isabel Marant

Yes, yes I know. I've been putting it off for quite some time now. But today's the day I'm going to see the first part of Breaking Dawn - I've heard it's way better than the other movies, but I'll have to wait and see 'til tonight. I'm very excited!
Elin Kling in a knit sweater from Isabel Marant, dark washed jeans and black converse - she always makes a casual and laidback outfit look so put together! Love it.

How has your day been so far?
By the way, the poll that got the most votes was Travel. So, I guess I'm going to have to blog a little more about that :)

Christmas Markets

You haven’t experienced Christmas lights until you’ve seen nearly four miles of them artfully hung in patterns.
One of the best things about Christmas according to me, is when the markets set up their stalls and you get to walk around in a bliss of Christmas spirit. I've had the opportunity to partake in numerous Christmas Markets over the years, most of those here in Sweden but also some in Germany and Switzerland.
Some of the most sought after Christmas Markets in Europe are in Germany, other of the very fabulous markets are located in London, various parts of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Prague, Czech Republic - the market's brightly decorated stalls sell wooden toys, handmade jewelry, classic Czech marionettes and plenty of potential for tooth decay :P
Regent Street, London - the Christmas shopping season opens in November, when Regent Street ceremoniously switches on its Christmas lights.
Munich, Germany - craft stalls surround a glittering 30 meter Christmas tree on the Marienplatz,  where you can find visitors munching on sausages and reiber-datschi, gulping glühwein and crunching on Lekbuchen (potato pancakes, mulled wine and gingerbread.)
Vienna, Austria - Vienna's Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market) flings open its stall shutters in mid-November, and three million visitors flock here each year for beeswax candles, wooden toys among other things.
Hope you enjoyed this post xx
