Music Monday #11

I never thought I'd actually say this but this past week I've been enjoying none other than Justin Bieber's song Beauty and A Beat. I particularly like the music video; the way it's filmed is really cool and different!
Enjoy!

Beauty and A Beat - Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj

Bottlez - T-Pain feat. Detail

Skinny Love - Bon Iver

Primadonna - Marina and the Diamonds

Sweet Nothing - Calvin Harris, Florence Welch

Cravings

Freshly squeezed orange juice is by far my favourite juice! It's so refreshing and delicious

Fresh fruit - strawberries and kiwis are my two favourite fruits. It's a shame they aren't in season all year round.

Pretzels! I have been craving a proper pretzel like the ones above for a whole week now..
This is probably the most random post ever, but I really have no energy today.

Frank Ocean

This blog is turning into some sort of music blog, which wasn't my initial intention, but I can't help myself!
Frank Ocean recently released the album Channel ORANGE which I've been listening to for the past couple of days. I've completely fallen head over heals for his sound and his voice!
Frank Ocean (which is his stage name) is an American singer-songwriter originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. His debut album was released in July of 2012 and was promoted with three charting singles: Thinking Bout You, Pyramids and Sweet Life
Here are my favourite songs from the album:

Bad Religion

Thinking Bout You

Lost

Forrest Gump

Hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!

Lykke Li

Lykke Li has been one of my favourite musicians ever since I heard her song Possibility, which was her biggest exposure since it appeared in the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. Her song I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix) reminds me of my trip to Ios this summer - and always floods my brain with extraordinary memories!
I recently started listening to her new album Wounded Rhymes and I have several songs I put on repeat!
Here are some of my favourite songs form her at the moment:

Possibility

I Follow Rivers  (The Magician Remix)

Sadness is a Blessing

Love Out of Lust

Until We Bleed - Kleerup feat. Lykke Li

I Like Those Stylish Clothes You Wear

I have been contemplating for quite a while now If I should get a red/burgundy pair of jeans- I still haven't decided..

Don't You Worry Child

Mustard is another colour which reminds me of autumn. The colours of the leaves on the trees is a perfect match with the colour of this knitted sweater.
I also love how this knit-sweater is a little different; the details of the knit make it so much more interesting.
This leather jacket is from Jofama by Kenza. I have this jacket, and have frequently been using it for the past two years, and it will hopefully be in my wardrobe for several more years. It's on of my favourite jackets!

When the Leaves Fall

When the leaves fall, that's when you'll come back

Don't Blame the Party

I haven't done these types of posts in quite a while now, but I really enjoy doing them even though they take quite a long time for me. Hope you enjoyed and possibly got a little inspired!

Young & Free

We are young, we run free
Stay up late, we don't sleep
Got our fiends, got the night
We'll be alright

10 Things You May or May Not Know About Me

1. I consider myself European; and not from any specific country- even though I say I'm from Sweden
2. I don't drink milk, I find it disgusting- I'll only have a little milk with my cereal
3. I could eat Sushi everyday for the rest of my life- if I had the choice and the money
4. I have never been to Asia- but I want to go!
5. I hate tardiness- when people are late, or when I'm late somewhere
6. My favourite accent is the Australian one- it's so charming
7. I have never owned a pet- not even a fish
8. My dreams are sometimes in Italian, other times in Swedish, but mostly in English
9. While studying, I listen to calming music- mostly classical. If I listen to songs that have words, I'll most likely get distracted and start singing along to the songs..
10. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of my favourite bands- I started listening to them when I was 13 years old and still listen to them today

Autumn is Here

From WeHeartIt

I can just about get away with wearing my Converse and Vans- but I think I may need to start wearing my boots soon, it's freezing outside.
Knitted sweaters and cardigans are my favourite Autumn clothing to wear. They're comfortable, warm and cozy.
A beanie will easily keep you head and ears warm, and is very stylish in my opinion!

Nail Hue's

1. Essie - A List is a beautiful apple-ish red hue. It's glossy, juicy and is a more upbeat version of Essie's Bordeaux
2. Mavala - New Dehli is a loganberry red which has a little brown in it. It's a very dark and musky colour - perfect for fall in my opinion. I've been using this frequently.
3. Essie - Grow Stronger I use initially as a base coat for my nail polish, merely because I haven't had the energy to go and get a proper base coat. The Grow Stronger varnish has been in my collection for quite some time now and I'm very pleased with it. I sometimes wear it by itself, without a coloured varnish on top - it gives your nail a very subtle pink tint. Perfect for those who don't like coloured nails. To be honest, I've been using it for so long that I don't really know if it does make your nails stronger, but I should think so!

London - Crash Weekend

I can't remember where this was
China Town
On Friday morning I woke up before the crack of dawn to hop on a plane down to London. I visited my dear friend Jenny; she showed me around her campus and later at night we went to the Student Union with a couple of her flatmates and friends. I crashed at her place on Friday night and on Saturday we woke up early to catch the train into London, Waterloo Station. Jenny and I met up with my parents, Helen and their mum at one of Jamie Oliver's restaurants for lunch - the food was delicious! After lunch, Jenny, Helen and I took the metro to Camden Town where we strolled around on the streets, in and out of shops and enjoyed the magnificent atmosphere.
In the evening, Jenny and I met up with old friends from Italy and their newly found uni-friends, had dinner and later went bar-crawling in  Covent Garden (which was so much fun!) We strolled around on the streets on London; through China Town, where we got some chicken fried noodles and dumplings, and onto SOHO where we ended our long and chilly, yet extremely fun night!
Sunday consisted of Jenny and I having pub lunch at the White Lion in Covent Garden, after having said our goodbyes to Helen (I'll miss you Heth!) and their mum. After lunch, my parents and I walked Jenny to the Leicester Square metro station and said our goodbyes - which was rather sad :(
After that, my parents and I strolled around in Covent Garden, SOHO, China Town, New Oxford Street and Leicester Square where we bought some M&M's at the crowded M&M store. At 17.00 it was time for me to take the underground to Heathrow Airport to fly back home.
In short, my weekend was amazing!
I have several other photos from the weekend, but they aren't really appropriate for publication..

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

For those of you who haven't seen this movie, but plan on seeing it- GO SEE IT! I highly recommend it to anyone who can somehow relate to it!
First off, the trailers tell you absolutely nothing about what the story is actually about. It is so much more complex than that; but in several ways, ten times more beautiful!
I have to say though, the ending was a little complicated. I didn't quiet understand what was happening, but I'm sure if you've read the book you'd be one step ahead of us all.

DISCLAIMER: This post is based off of my own opinions an view of the movie! Feel free to think whatever you want to.

3) Bom Bom - Sam and The Womp

I hope you all enjoy them as much as Sofia does.

Alive

Hey guys! Sorry it's been a while, my schedule has been very hectic and on top of that I've had difficulty accessing this blog. I just wanted to inform all of you that I am alive and well. The university lifestyle is definitely taking its toll on my mental and physical wellbeing! Most of you at uni would probably understand this :P Partying and morning lectures don't mix.
I'm going down to London next week to visit a few friends at university there and also to meet up with my parents. I can't wait because I have seen anyone familiar in a long while and it will be so good to catch up on all the latest outrageous uni stories! :)
