Valborg

Stefanie, Irma and I at the Tunnels

On the 1st of May the Nordic society got together on campus for a meet up which included champagne and strawberries, music and good times. We spent a few hours on campus enjoying the sun once it finally appeared amongst the ever-grey clouds of Aberdeen. After a few hours of chilling in the grass a few of us headed over to Wavell in Hillhead for a few more hours of socializing.
In the evening, Irma, Stefanie and I headed over to the Tunnels where the rest of our evening was spent with the rest of the Nordic society, and eventually the Politics and IR society. We snacked on the nibbles available, had a few drinks and danced to some golden oldies. All in all, it was a pretty successful day :)
As the new Swedish representative for the Nordic society, I am excited to plan next year's events along side the rest of the new committee!!

Valborgsmässoafton 2013

Valborg 2013 started off with a champagne breakfast on King's Lawn at 11am with most of the Nordic Society. Those who had remembered to bring their graduation caps with them, were wearing them proudly! Mind you, we did get some funny looks from people walking by.
At two a big gang of us headed over to Seaton Park and sat down on the grass and chilled in the sun. After and hour or so some of us headed over to Wavell's TV room (a common room in one of the blocks) to party some more! After a while people started to disperse and go back to their places. I went along with Matilda and Emmi to their kitchen to have a tuna salad before heading down to the river and bonfire with the rest of the people. Overall it was a great day and night!
