The world famous monolith known as Uluru is located in the southwestern corner of Australia’s Northern Territory. Geographically speaking, it is close to the centre of Australia and is best accessed from the town of Alice Springs.

As you may be aware, I'm absolutely fascinated by the universe and our galaxy. And I thought it would be a good idea with some more enthralling facts about it:

- We are moving through space at the rate of 530km a second. That means that in one minute you are about 19 thousand kilometers away from where you were
- The moon is slowly drifting further away from earth. About 3.8cm every year. This is caused by tidal effects
- If two pieces of metal touch each other in space they will stick together, and form into one single object. This is due to the vacuum in space
- If someone shouted in space you wouldn't be able to hear it, even if they were right next to you
- Venus is the only planet that rotates clockwise
